Certifications and risk management
Both NFM ALLOYZ and NFM-CRAMET hold a Quality Management Systems (QMS) certification according EN ISO 9001:2008 and an Environmental Management System (EMS) certification according EN ISO 14001:2015.
Our Health and Safety Management System helps us to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
We collect the fumes and the dust generated by the smelting process, and constantly clean the air inside the production halls through an aspirating filtration system, thus making sure that air pollutants are removed from the exhaust stream before it is emitted into the atmosphere. A filtration process has also been installed for the water used in the cooling circuits and for the collected rain water. All air and water emissions are constantly monitored by the most modern metrological equipment.
NFM has a strictly monitored risk management policy, relying mainly on credit insurance, metal price hedging on the LME and currency hedging. We believe this is an important part of the mutual trust we have been able to build up with our partners over many years.
The companies of the NFM GROUP fulfil all applicable legal obligations under following regulations : the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) 1 and 2, the Waste Electrical and Electronical Directive (WEEE), the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of chemicals (CLP), the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) and European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).
